YOUNG MUSICIANS OF THE GULF 2026 WELCOME

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Young Musicians of the
Gulf (YMOG) 2026, proudly hosted by St Christopher’s School, Bahrain.
As we celebrate 27 years of musical excellence, we reflect on the incredible journey that has seen YMOG become a beacon for outstanding young talent across the region.

Last year, our friends at the British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) set an
inspiring standard with their warm hospitality and exceptional organisation. We are truly grateful for their stewardship and the memories created in Abu Dhabi. This year, it is a joy to bring YMOG home to Bahrain, where it all began, and to once again open our doors to the region’s most gifted young musicians.

YMOG is so much more than a competition; it is a celebration of artistry, dedication, and the unique camaraderie that music inspires. Over nearly three decades, we have witnessed performances that would grace any concert hall in the world, and we look forward to many more unforgettable moments this year.

On behalf of the entire St Christopher’s School community, I extend a warm welcome to all participants, adjudicators, and guests.
